YEREVAN. – Armenian National Assembly’s (NA) opposition Heritage Party Faction Secretary Zaruhi Postanjyan on Tuesday introduced to NA floor the bill on Recognition of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR).  

If this bill is passed, Armenia will officially recognize NKR’s de facto status, and based on the fact that NKR fully meets all the preconditions which the international law specifies for a sovereign state, the Faction’s press service informs.      

To note, opposition Heritage Party is a liberal party founded in 2002. Its leader is Armenia’s First Foreign Minister, Raffi Hovannisian.
