VAN. – The church of the Holy Cross will host the third liturgy on Sunday in the Aghtamar island in Van, Turkey, Turkish Anadolu agency reports. 

To note, the Holy Cross was reconstructed in 2007 by the Turkish government. Later the Constantinople Diocese turned to the Turkish government for a permission of holding once a year a liturgy. In March 2010, Turkish Minister of Culture stated that there is a permission to put a cross on the church and hold a liturgy. The second Sunday of September is scheduled for holding the liturgy. 

This year the third liturgy will be held in the church.
