YEREVAN. – The ‘Vardan Aivazyan Should Carry Responsibility’ Facebook page is supported by the Global Gold Mining Company, ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) MP and former Minister of Nature Protection Vardan Aivazyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am commenting on the group creation and demands to instigate a criminal case and force him withdraw his MP mandate (photo coverage is available here). 

The MP sees no problem in the initiative to take measures for the parliament to establish a committee and investigate the case. However, there should be serious basis for instigating a criminal case. In addition, if charges are verified, and he is found guilty, he will withdraw his mandate without waiting for someone else demands.

Besides, official letters to inform about his fine of $37,537,978 by the New York Court has not yet arrived, whereas he has acquired proofs, which claim about ‘their illegal actions.’ 

To note, the Global Gold Mining Company was allegedly subjected by corrupt and improper demand-making Vardan Ayvazyan. The company informed about this situation to the respective agencies of Armenia and the United States, Hetq writes.
