YEREVAN. – A rescue squad from Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) will head to Georgia on Saturday to take part in NATO’s “Georgia 2012” training, during which a strong earthquake scenario will be enacted. 

The aforesaid squad comprises 54 rescue specialists, MES press service informs.

Armenia’s recue squad, which will be led by MES Rescue Service Director, Major General Sergei Azaryan, will participate in “Georgia 2012” with corresponding fire and rescue equipment and tools.   

Emergency Situations Minister Armen Yeritsyan likewise will be on hand at the rescue squad’s official seeing off ceremony.
