YEREVAN. – Armenian National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Chairman Artak Zakaryan on Wednesday met with Ernst Hillebrand, head of the unit of Eastern European offices at the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES) in Berlin, and Michael Weichert, FES Regional Director for South Caucasus 

Zakaryan noted that Friedrich Ebert Stiftung enjoys a high reputation in Armenia. He thanked the organization’s representatives for their great social and political contributions, and expressed a hope that FES will cooperate with the standing committee he heads, NA press service informs.     

The Standing Committee Chairman noted that Armenia’s European integration is of great political importance for the country. Artak Zakaryan also reflected on regional matters, and expressed a readiness to assist FES’ activities.  

In his turn, Ernst Hillebrand thanked for the warm reception and the high assessment of the organization’s activities. 

Artak Zakaryan informed that he will be addressing at FES seminar entitled “European Prospects of Armenia.” 

The interlocutors also discussed future cooperation between Friedrich Ebert Stiftung and NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations.
