YEREVAN. – An Armenian delegation led by Premier Tigran Sargsyan attended, on Friday in Yalta, Ukraine, regular session of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) Council of Heads of Government.
The participants adopted the 2015 Action Plan for the establishment and development of an information society in CIS countries. They also reflected on the prospects for cooperation among CIS countries in the field of communication, Armenian Government press service informs.
In addition, the discussants adopted the CIS member-states’ 2012-2014 innovative partnership program. Also, a joint statement was signed to the effect that five countries—including Armenia—have ratified a free trade zone agreement.
Separately, Armenia’s PM took part in a conference entitled “New Investment Opportunities and Economic Cooperation within CIS.”
