PreferredYEREVAN. – Police did not disarm bodyguards of former MP and businessman Tigran Arzakanyants, but simply stopped their actions, Police press and information service head Ashot Aharonyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
“We did not disarm the bodyguards but stopped their actions, when they roughly violated the traffic rules,” Aharonyan said. “By the way, police actions aimed at securing Arzakanyants’ life and health, as survey claims that such traffic rules violations are likely to end fatally,” he added.
To note, Tigran Arzakanyants told the agency that the incident occurred in Sayat Nova Street in downtown Yerevan. He also claimed that his bodyguards are police employees and they could have called and invited their employees at the site.
