YEREVAN. – A total of 24,000 people visited the eighth annual DigiTec Information and Telecommunication Technologies Expo, which was held in Armenia’s capital city Yerevan, Armenian Union of Information Technology Enterprises Executive Director Karen Vardanyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am. The previous year’s Expo had 18,000 visitors.
To note, the eighth “DigiTec” Expo was held at the newly-opened “Yerevan Expo” Hall of the Yerevan Scientific Research Institute of Mathematical Machines, and between October 5 and 7. A total of 120 organizations representing Armenia and seven other countries took part in the event.
As per Vardanyan, despite some organizational shortfalls, the Expo had an unprecedented success.
The DigiTec Information and Telecommunication Technologies Expo is organized since 2005 and by the Union of Information Technologies Enterprises. It is held each October in Yerevan, and under the high patronage of the Armenian Prime Minister.
