YEREVAN.- Ameria CJSC has started voluminous researches in various industries of Armenia’s economy. The research toolbox comprises cutting-edge international methods.

Researches will cover the development trends of each industry, assessment of the needs of population, comparisons with the relevant fields in other countries. Relevant findings and opinions will be provided and development trends of various industries of economy will be outlined, company’s press service told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

This first research was dedicated to retail sales of fast moving consumer goods (FMCG). The research helps to assess the FMCG market volume, the main places where the mentioned goods are bought, preferences of the population and their opinion on definite supermarkets, the main criteria of selection of supermarkets or other merchants by clients. Forecasts on future developments of the given industry were made.

 In 2011, its FMCG share in Armenia’s GDP totaled 13.4 %.  Moreover, trade is one of the few industries to have grown during the last 10 years. Retail sales make 63.4 % in the total volume of trade. The retail sales of food comprise half of the total retail trade. In Armenia, over 80% of retail sales falls on Yerevan.
