STEPANAKERT. – Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) President Bako Sahakyan on Tuesday received a delegation led by speaker Jorge Orrico of the House of Representatives of Uruguay. 

They discussed a wide range of issues with respect to the development of bilateral ties, Central Information Department of the Office of the NKR President informed Armenian News-NEWS.am. 

Bako Sahakyan noted that NKR and Uruguay are friend countries that have numerous similarities, which are favorable preconditions for the development of interaction between the two countries. Also, he highly appreciated Uruguay’s contribution to the international recognition of the Armenian Genocide, and this country’s balanced policy in connection with NKR’s formal recognition and settlement of the Azerbaijani-Karabakh conflict.   

The interlocutors highlighted the need to deepen ties between the two countries.
