YEREVAN. – Armenia is in 105th spot in the list of world corruption ranking.     

Transparency International has publicized its report on the situation of corruption in 174 countries, and Varuzhan Hoktanyan, the Director of Transparency International Anti-corruption Center in Armenia, presented this report during press a conference on Wednesday.

Hoktanyan noted that Armenia’s corruption perceptions index is 34 and its ranking of 105 is better than that of Azerbaijan, which is 139th, but worse than Georgia, which is 51st.         

In line with this report, Denmark, Finland and New Zealand are the world’s least corrupt countries, whereas Somalia, North Korea, Afghanistan, Sudan, Myanmar, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Iraq are the most corrupt nations in the world.
