YEREVAN. - The President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, replying the question of Russia 24 Television Company concerning the achievements of the incumbent president to guarantee his reelection in the upcoming elections, said that they have achieved the creation of open society in Armenia.

The reporter noted that according to the research results the Russian media possess, the incumbent president has a big chance to win the elections.

“In fact, I think I have a good chance to gain the trust of people and get reelected for the second term,” replied Serzh Sargsyan.

When talking about achievements, the president also noted that in Armenia, just like in many other countries, especially developing ones, many unsolved issues still exist.

“At the same time, we were able to achieve an open the society during this time. In my opinion an open society now exists in Armenia, people openly discuss the authorities, there is a political competition. In my opinion, our media feels free too,” said Sargsyan, adding that though the media, as in other countries, are not content, but a lot of work has been done in that direction.
