YEREVAN.- Armenian presidential candidate Andreas Ghukasyan turned down Health Ministry’s offer to undergo medical examination at hospital.
One of the reasons is that Education Minister, member of ruling party, Armen Ashotyan called his hunger strike a reality show.
Ghukasyan said he would stop the strike on February 20 when international observers present their assessment of the presidential vote. The candidate has not decided whether he will go the polling station but will definitely vote against Serzh Sargsyan if he participates in elections.
Deputy Health Minister Hayk Darbinyan paid a second visit to Ghukasyan, on Monday evening, and again asked him to undergo laboratory examination.
As Armenian News-NEWS.am informed earlier, presidential contender Andreas Ghukasyan is on a hunger strike ever since January 21, and under the slogan, “Stop Fake Elections.”
