YEREVAN.- The ‘CyberSecurity for the Next Generation’ conference organized by Kaspersky Academy kicked off in the State Engineering University of Armenia.

The conference will present a number of student works on network security which passed the qualifying round. Ten out of 14 undergraduate and Masters participating in the conference represent Armenia, the rest are from Russia, Ukraine and Belarus.

The three best works will get $1,000, 750 and 500 awards. Microsoft representation in Armenia and Institute for Informatics and Automation Problems will hand in special awards.

Kaspersky Lab’s malware expert Sergey Golovanov said the company is paying attention to students’ works and the best of them can be used in Kaspersky products. Golovanov noted that their company is open for talented young people.

Student projects on analysis of threats on the basis of testing, network security based on limiting content, tools for fingerprint identification and information security in social networks are presented at the conference.
