Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu held a meeting with his Iranian counterpart Manouchehr Mottaki in Tehran followed by a joint press conference. Mottaki said that Iran presently decides on its rights for creation of own energy sources.

“We discussed recent developments with our Turkish colleagues. Continuation of the talks is possible. Unlike other countries, Turkey is conversant with these processes and I believe Ankara will give us help. Cooperation between states in various fields will assist maintenance of regional stability. Perhaps we are unable to say Turkey is a mediator in ties with Iran, it is still one of the major constituents,” said Iranian Minister.

Davutoglu outlined that Turkey wishes Iran’s nuclear activities to be open to international community and diplomatic circles.

It should be noted that U.S. makes a point of Davutoglu’s visit to Iran.
