March 2, at 10:51 p.m. local time 5.4 magnitude earthquake struck Chile.

The tremors were registered 105 km north-west of the city of Talca, RIA Novosti reports referring to U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).

Several hours before, another 5.2 magnitude aftershock was registered 135 km north-west of Talca city.

No information on victims and casualties is available.

As NEWS.am reported previously, February 27, at 3:45 a.m. 8.8 magnitude massive earthquake hit Chile, 320 km north-west of the capital Santiago. U.S. Geological Survey said that the quake epicenter was 100km north-east of Concepcion city. An initial tsunami warning was issued for Chile, Peru and Ecuador. Under latest data, death toll reached 795.
