YEREVAN. – The Armenian National Seismic Protection Service provided earthquake information on Friday at 9.38am.
In line with this data, a 4.3-magnitude quake hit Iran, 40 kilometers southeast of Khoy city, at 9.13am, local time.
The tremor measured magnitude 5-6 at the epicenter area.
The hypocenter of the seismic activity was 10 kilometers beneath the surface, the Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations news service informed.
According to preliminary information, the earthquake was felt—with magnitude 3—in Kapan city of Armenia.
