YEREVAN. – Ukraine pursues consistent and predictable policy, and the country remains loyal to its European choice, Ukrainian Ambassador to Armenia said.
Ivan Kukhta addressed the guests during a reception dedicated to the 22nd anniversary of Ukraine’s Independence.
Ambassador noted that Ukraine has completed on Association Agreement and DCFTA this year and hopes to sign the agreement during Eastern Partnership summit in Vilnius.
“Ukraine’s foreign policy is aimed at developing comprehensive cooperation with our strategic partners, such as Russia, U.S, China and CIS states,” he said.
Speaking about Armenia-Ukraine relations, he said during the last decades the countries greatly developed bilateral cooperation.
“Expansion of Armenia-Ukraine ties in all fields shows that we are on the right track,” he added.
Ambassador Kukhta pointed out the visit of OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Leonid Kozhara to Armenia, planned session of inter-governmental commission on economic cooperation, cultural and humanitarian ties.
“We are proud of having large Armenian Diaspora in Ukraine which, together with Ukrainian community of Armenia, makes an outstanding contribution to strengthening of bilateral relations. All this speaks about great potential for development of fruitful relations between Armenia and Ukraine,” he concluded.
