Editor-in-Chief of the Hayots Ashkharh (Armenian World) newspaper Gagik Mkrtichyan was beaten up in Yerevan on March 20.

The press service of the RA Police, informed NEWS.am that a certain Manvel Kirakosyan (born in 1968) arrived at the Armenian medical center and told doctors that Vahan Mkrtichyan, Gagik Mkrtichyan’s son, had inflicted a head injury on him.

M. Kirakosyan and G. Mkrticnhyan had a conflict near the editorial office of the Hayots Ashkharh newspaper. At that moment V. Mkrtichyan was entering the office and, seeing the conflict, assaulted M. Kirakosyan.

An investigation is under way.
