Armenian actor Hovhannes Ajinyan, 32, and Turkish actor Deniz Baris, 35, broke the “longest handshake ever” world record.  

They started their handshake at a park in Georgia on Friday at 8:40pm, they held this position for 43 straight hours, and ended their handshake on Sunday at 3:40pm.  

In their words, even though they were a little tired, they both feel good, reports ITAR-TASS news agency of Russia.

As Armenian News-NEWS.am informed earlier, the location for the handshake, Georgia, was picked due its “important role in relations between Armenia and Turkey at the moment,” acting as a transit zone and “a connecting link.”
