STEPANAKERT. – Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), or Artsakh, President Bako Sahakyan on Thursday attended in Paris the presentation of Montserrat Caballé’s album entitled Armenia and Artsakh: An Isle of Christianity.

In his remarks, the President noted the historical significance of this event for Artsakh, informs the Central Information Department of the Office of the NKR President.

He added that world-renowned Spanish operatic soprano Montserrat Caballé continued the mission of historical Christian homilists and, through a high art, she not only introduced Artsakh to the world, but also sent a particular message to humanity toward preserving Christian values. 

Sahakyan expressed his gratitude to the famous singer and all those who participated in the implementation of the project, and he stressed that this was the best manifestation of a sincere friendship.

Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II, Primate of the Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan, Ambassadors of Armenia to Switzerland and France Charles Aznavour and Vigen Chitechyan, member of the British Parliament’s House of Lords Baroness Caroline Cox, a group of French Parliament deputies, state officials from Armenia and the NKR, well-known stars, Armenian philanthropists, and representatives of the Armenian diaspora also attended the event.
