YEREVAN. – Armenia and India will create telemedicine network. The draft memorandum of understanding was approved by the government during the Thursday meeting.

The government will determine the list of medical facilities that will participate in the program and will provide internet connection for distance diagnostics. The software will be provided by the Indian Centre for Development of Advanced Computing. The centre’s experts will hold trainings for their Armenian colleagues.

The first telemedicine center was created in Armenia after the Spitak earthquake.
