The adversary violated the ceasefire yet again in the direction of Nerkin Karmraghbyur and Aygepar villages of Armenia’s Tavush Region, Nerkin Karmraghbyur prefect Manvel Kamendatyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
“The shooting began on the evening of [Friday,] January 10. They were primarily shooting in the direction of the [military] bases of the villages.
“They also shot at the schools, the kindergarten, and the houses, but, thank God, we have no casualties or injuries. Also, fortunately, the schoolchildren are on [winter] break,” Kamendatyan said.
He added that although no shots were fired so far on Saturday, they can resume at any time.
Armenian Defense Minister’s press secretary Artsrun Hovhannisyan had told Armenian News-NEWS.am that Azerbaijan violated the ceasefire agreement, on Friday evening, and conducted rifle fire, for several minutes, in the direction of Nerkin Karmraghbyur village.
