YEREVAN. – Armenian Urban Development Minister Samvel Tadevosyan received the German government-owned KfW development bank delegation, led by Director Jan Blum of the KfW Regional Energy Programs Department.

Presenting the projects on increasing the energy efficiency of the buildings in Armenia, Tadevosyan stressed that the government prioritizes the raising of the energy efficiency of the country’s educational facilities, the Urban Development Ministry press service informs.

The minister also noted that when reconstructing the educational facilities, the precept of integrated approach—starting from seismic enforcement to energy efficiency increase—was adopted.

In turn, Blum informed that KfW is developing the future directions of partnership with Armenia, and in this context, the German bank underscores the implementation of the projects toward raising energy efficiency in Armenia.

The parties reached a tentative agreement toward conducting studies on some of the respective educational facilities in Armenia.
