YEREVAN. – Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received a delegation led by Ernst-Ludwig Drayss, Chairman of the Board of “C-QUADRAT Ampega Asset Management Armenia” Company which is a pension fund manager.
Sargsyan thanked the delegation members for taking part in the pension reforms in Armenia.
“We pin great hopes on you, and we are convinced that together we will carry out a good work. The implementation the of pension reforms is a deeply conscious decision on our part. Our objective is to give an adequate response to the challenges of the 21st century,” Sargsyan noted.
For their part, the guests gave a high assessment to the Armenian government’s activities and determination in the pension reforms, and they expressed willingness to assist.
C-QUADRAT AG Founder Alexander Schütz noted that they are impressed by the Armenian government’s right decision in resolving the pension-related problems.
“Armenia is moving forward in the right direction, and this will guarantee a long-term social and economic stability to the people,” Schütz added.
In the PM’s words, the implementation of pension reforms will also contribute to the formation of a civil society in Armenia.
“We will have 270,000 responsible citizens who will oversee not solely their individual accounts, but the fund managers and the government,” Sargsyan stated.
Subsequently, the parties reflected on bilateral cooperation and the future projects.
