YEREVAN. – Aram Harutyunyan, Nature Protection Minister of Armenia, on Thursday met with World Bank (WB) mission members Adriana Jordanova and Ulrich Barch.
The WB representatives have arrived in Armenia to discuss the Bank’s Second Development Policy Operation (DPO2) for Armenia.
The parties reflected on the environmental sustainability component of the DPO2 grant program. They also discussed the schedule for passing the Armenian bill on Assessment and Research of Environmental Impact.
Jordanova noted that the best international track-record was included in the aforesaid draft law, and the Nature Protection Ministry had incorporated all stakeholders in the making of this bill.
Aram Harutyunyan and Adriana Jordanova also outlined the key issues on which the Ministry and the World Bank will collaborate.
