YEREVAN. – It is indispensable to inform a wider public about the Customs Union (CU) integration process of Armenia.

Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan noted the aforesaid at Thursday’s Cabinet meeting.

According to Economy Minister Vahram Avanesyan, the earlier calculations suggest that as a result of Armenia’s entry into the Russian-led Customs Union, the inflationary pressure will not exceed 1.5 percent in the country.

“We need to inform the public that Armenia will ask to be exempt from the Customs Union customs duties on a number of product groups. Of course, we primarily work with business owners,” the minister said.

In turn, the PM noted the importance of the accurate and adequate presentation of the data on this matter.
