YEREVAN. – Armenian government has approved the concept of strategic planning of ecological problems.
The draft decision presented by Nature Protection Minister Aram Harutyunyan was approved during the meeting on Thursday.
The document says Armenia’s ecology problems are not widely covered and are not fully in compliance with the strategic development programs.
Among the strategic objectives is restoration and preservation of Lake Sevan ecosystem, control over the use of natural resources, development of environmental awareness and education.
