STEPANAKERT. – Some reduction in tension was observed, as compared with the previous two weeks, on the Line of Contact with the adversary.
The lessening of the tension was primarily due to the vigilance of the Armenian soldier, and his being the dictating party on the frontline.
Overall, the adversary breached the ceasefire agreement on the Line of Contact between the Karabakh-Azerbaijani opposing forces around 350 times throughout the passing week, informs the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) MOD press service. During this time, more than 3,500 shots were fired in the direction of Armenian positions, and by way different-caliber artillery weapons.
The NKR Defense Army vanguard units, however, mostly adhered to the ceasefire agreement, and they took response measures solely when absolutely necessary.
