YEREVAN. – UNICEF is going to launch a campaign for inclusive education in Armenia. This was stated by the UNICEF representative in Armenia Henriette Ahrens at a meeting with the Deputy Mayor of Yerevan Aram Sukiasyan.
Henriette Ahrens presented the general provisions of UNICEF report on inclusive education which has already been submitted to the Armenian government. She said UNICEF is going to launch a public campaign for complete involvement of children with disabilities in the educational process.
Deputy Mayor Aram Sukiasyan noted that Yerevan Municipality is ready to supplement education policy with recommendations presented in the report. As an active provision of the program, he mentioned the installation of ramps in schools in 2013 and 2014.
