Turkey is ready to act as a mediator in nuclear discussions between Iran and the West, Turkish FM Ahmet Davutoglu said during his official visit to Tehran, RFE/RL reports.
According to him, Ankara might contribute to a diplomatic solution to the row over Iran’s implementing an uranium exchange deal. However, Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki gave no response to Ankara’s proposal.
Ahmet Davutoglu has repeatedly stated that his country opposes additional sanctions against Iran.
