The Verkhovna Rada (Supreme Council)  of Ukraine—which is the country’s parliament—has appealed to the International Criminal Court in The Hague.   

The Ukrainian parliament petitioned to the court that ousted President Viktor Yanukovych and several other former officials be brought to criminal account for committing crimes against humanity.  

A total of 324 Rada deputies voted in favor of this decision, Segodnya.ua reports. 

Eighty-two people were killed during the mass protests in Ukraine.
