YEREVAN. – If Russia decides to separate Crimea from Ukraine or the eastern regions, could the reaction by the West change anything? Can the Ukrainian society confront this new regional matter?

Aravot daily posed this question to Oleksandr Bozhko, Ukraine’s former Ambassador to Armenia, the daily reports.

“We also asked Bozhko whether he sees a danger of Ukraine’s dissolution.

‘“I see no danger of dissolution. Crimea is a separate story. It would have been bizarre if the well-known political forces had not played the Crimean card under these conditions.

‘“I rather see the radical pro-Russian forces’ attempt, with the assistance of foreign intelligence services, to exacerbate the situation in the country and complicate Ukraine’s course towards Europe,’ Oleksandr Bozhko responded,” Aravot writes.
