The ARF Dashnaktsutyun Armenian National Committee of the Netherlands held a rally and a demonstration on Thursday in front of the Azerbaijani embassy in The Hague.
The protest was devoted to the memory of the victims of the Armenian pogroms which were carried out in 1988 in Sumgait, Azerbaijan, and against Azerbaijan’s destructive policy with respect to Nagorno-Karabakh.
About one hundred demonstrators from all parts of the Netherlands had arrived in The Hague and staged a protest, despite the adverse weather conditions.
The ARF Garegin Nzhdeh members also spoke at the event, and they condemned Azerbaijan’s insidious policy of falsifying history and its attempts to deceive its own people and the world, informs the Armenian National Committee of the Netherlands.
Earlier, the Armenian National Committee had applied to submit a list of demands to the Azerbaijan embassy, but it was left unanswered.
The list of demands was read on behalf of the demonstrators and all Dutch Armenians and, subsequently, it was placed in the mailbox of the embassy.
