STEPANAKERT. – In connection with the 26th anniversary of the genocide of the Armenians in Sumgait, Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), or Artsakh, President Bako Sahakyan on Friday visited the Stepanakert Memorial in the NKR capital city.

The President placed a wreath to the monument of the innocent victims of the tragedy, informs the Central Information Department of the Office of the NKR President.

Sahakyan was accompanied by Primate of the Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan, and several senior officials of the country.
