The victims of the Armenian pogroms in Sumgait were remembered Friday in Moscow, capital city of the Russian Federation (RF).
A church mass was offered in memory of hundreds of innocent Armenians who had fallen victims to massacres in their homes, between February 27 and 29, 1988 in Azerbaijan SSR, and wreathes were laid.
Armenia’s Ambassador to the RF Oleg Yesayan, Primate of the Armenian Diocese of New Nakhijevan and Russia Archbishop Yezras Nersissian, and numerous others attended the event, informs vice chairman Levon Mukanyan of the Union of Armenians of Russia.
