YEREVAN. – Within the framework of his visit to Belgium, Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan on Wednesday laid a wreath to the cross-stone, which is placed in Brussels and in memory of the Armenian Genocide victims.
Ohanyan, Armenia’s Ambassador to Belgium Avet Adonts, Armenia’s Permanent Representative to NATO, Ambassador Armen Yedigarian, along with representatives from the Belgian-Armenian community organizations, laid wreathes and placed flowers to pay tribute to the victims of the Armenian pogroms in Sumgait, Azerbaijan, which were carried out 26 years ago.
On Thursday, the Armenian minister of defense participated in the sessions of the defense ministers of the countries taking part in the NATO-led mission in Afghanistan, and of the Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council, and devoted to defense capabilities’ development and cyber security, informs the Armenian MOD press service.
