YEREVAN. – Marxist Party of Armenia Chairman Davit Hakobyan suffered a stroke, and he is hospitalized at the Cardiology Research Institute in capital city Yerevan, since Tuesday. 

Armenian News-NEWS.am ascertained from the medical center that Hakobyan’s health condition is normal, at present, and a second stent was placed in his body just recently.

“He had a heart condition. If the problem were not resolved urgently, there would have been an infarction.

“They placed the first stent, but there was pressure. There was a need to place a second stent,” Institute Deputy Director Hayk Kamalyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.          

He added that it is yet unknown when Davit Hakobyan will be discharged from the medical center, since this will depend on his health condition.
