YEREVAN. – Armenia's joining Customs Union will not affect cooperation with EU, Agriculture Minister said.
On Monday Sergo Karapetyan received Italy's Ambassador to Armenia Giovanni Ricciulli to discuss development programs in the sector of agriculture.
Among the priorities in the field, the Minister noted strengthening of farms, government support for farmers' cooperatives, strengthening of the capacity to monitor food safety, new technologies in agricultural processing.
Commenting on Armenia's accession to the Customs Union, Karapetyan noted that this will not affect the future of relations between Armenia and the European Union.
“We continue to work closely with the EU,” he emphasized.
