YEREVAN. – Opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) leader and First President Levon Ter-Petrosyan on Tuesday met with Lithuanian Ambassador Erikas Petrikas, on the diplomat’s initiative.

At the ambassador’s request, Ter-Petrosyan presented the current political crisis in Armenia, and the existing obstacles on the road to the establishment of democracy and legitimacy, economic development, and the improvement of the social situation in the country, the ANC press service informed.      

The ANC leader stated that Armenia’s primary challenge is the alarming rate of emigration and the current government’s inability to prevent this phenomenon.   

The interlocutors also reflected on regional and international relations, specifically, the prospects for the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
