Syrian Armenians opened a clothing seal workshop in a textile factory in Armenia, Harutyun Sharoyan, head of the Sharoyan new venture, told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
In his words, he had visited the cotton plant of Maralik city and decided to put together finished textile products (T-shirts, towels, etc.) for domestic and foreign markets, alike.
Saroyan manufactured product samples which he sent to potential customers.
“Now, we are waiting for their response,” the specialist stated.
He already assembled a team comprising four to six professionals who likewise are from Syria.
Harutyun Sharoyan said, however, that the necessary local professionals were not found.
“[But] if we expand [our business] in the future, we may consider training people on location,” he added.
