YEREVAN. – Economic cooperation between Armenia and Ukraine can continue whether Ukraine will withdraw from CIS or not,  political analyst Alexander Markarov said during round-table discussion.
 
Markarov said if Ukraine withdraws from CIS, it will face economic slump. At the same time, commenting on the issue whether it is appropriate to impose sanctions against Ukraine if the country leaves CIS, analyst said in terms of political expediency the sanctions should be introduced.

On March 18 Ukraine decided to relinquish its chairmanship of the CIS.
