YEREVAN. – We are preparing an entire state for standing with Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh Republic; NKR), Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan told reporters on Thursday.
Ohanyan visited the Yerablur Military Pantheon in capital city Yerevan, and paid tribute to the fallen soldiers of the Karabakh War.
“Strategic measures are implemented in Armenia. We are preparing the whole state to defend our country, [and] to stand with Artsakh. The Armenian army is the security guarantor of Artsakh,” he noted, in particular.
The Armenian defense minister also spoke about the triple feasts: the anniversaries of the liberation of the NKR City of Shushi, the formation of the NKR Defense Army, and the victory in World War II.
“The Armenian army ensures the safety of the Armenian people. I believe the Armenian army today is a solid structure and, if needed, it will stand ready to protect our homeland,” Ohanyan specifically said.
The defense minister also congratulated on the Yerkrapah (land protector) Day in Armenia.
