YEREVAN. – Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan received Mark Horton, Head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission to Armenia.  

During the meeting, PM Abrahamyan noted the government attaches importance to cooperation with IMF. In this context, interlocutors discussed bilateral cooperation as well as issues related to Armenia's economy and development prospects. 

Mark Horton congratulated Abrahamyan on his appointment and presented the details of IMF's new three-year program for Armenia.

The sides discussed issues related to cumulative pension plan. Prime Minister briefed IMF representative on the ways to settle the problems concerning pension reform.

Armenia PM touched upon government's program describing it as realistic and aimed at solving the problems Armenia is faced with, including fight against monopolies, improvement in tax and customs area. Besides, certain programs will be implemented to attract investments.
