Pope Francis will meet with Aram I, Catholicos of the Apostolic Armenian Church of Cilicia, on June 5 in the Vatican. According to the Vatican Radio, they will pray together.
Aram I is also scheduled to visit the Pontifical Council for the Promotion of Christian Unity and other dicasteries of the Roman Curia during his three-day visit to Rome.
Aram I met with Pope John Paul in 1997 and Pope Benedict in 2008.
