YEREVAN. – Armenia's Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan on Wednesday received PACE co-rapporteurs on Armenia Axel Fischer and Alan Meale.

The Prime Minister noted importance of co-rapporteurs' efforts to help Armenia fulfill its commitments assumed when joining the Council of Europe. According to him, Armenia is not only actively involved in the organization at all levels, but also had the honor to preside the Cabinet of Ministers in May-November 2013.

“We will continue to make efforts to protect human rights, rule of law and democracy,” PM said.

PACE co-rapporteurs commended the Armenian presidency of the Council of Europe, as well as cooperation with the Monitoring Committee. They noted that Armenia continues the path of strengthening democracy, which is a good achievement for Armenia and Europe.

Prime Minister presented the priorities of the government's program, assistance programs for refugees from Syria. Hovik Abrahamyan briefed the guests on the process of constitutional reform, touched upon relations with the neighbors and integration processes.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues concerning the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict within the OSCE Minsk Group.
