The May 23 democratic parliamentary elections in the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) proved once again that the NKR is a full-fledged state with civil institutions, authorities and electoral system, Karine Achemyan, a member of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) parliamentary faction, stated in Parliament.
She pointed out the NKR is based on human and international values and is not in any aspect inferior to the other regional and world states. “The Karabakh people once again proved their aspiration for peace and independence,” she said. Achemyan stressed that international observers registered a high level of democracy in the NKR elections. “I am confident the way Karabakh has chosen will anticipate country’s international recognition,” the MP said.
