YEREVAN. – Karabakh war veteran Volodya Avetisyan has been sentenced to six years in jail on fraud charges.
The verdict was pronounced by judge Levon Avetisyan during the hearings on Thursday. The prosecutor was demanding six years and six months.
Volodya Avetisyan was charged with receiving a $2,000 bribe for promising to help with exemption of a young man from military service.
