President of Russia Vlaidmir Putin and German Chancellor Angerla Merkel discussed the Malaysian flight crash during a phone conversation on Saturday.

They focused on importance of thorough and unbiased investigation into the causes of the air crash, Kremlin said in a statement.

“Both agreed that an international, independent commission under the leadership of the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) should get quick access to the crash site of the Malaysia Airlines passenger plane in east Ukraine,” Reuters quotes official statement by Berlin.
