Turkey has initiated creation of a free trade zone with Customs Union of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan, a Russian minister said.

Aleksey Ulyukayev said the initiative was presented by Turkish Economy Minister Nihat Zeybekci during their meeting, RIA Novisti reported.

“We have discussed possible formats of cooperation, including creation of a free trade zone between Customs Union and Turkey. We have agreed to set up a working group and start in-depth discussions of the possibilities and perspectives in September,” Ulyukayev said on the margins of G20 ministerial in Sidney.
